From the liner notes to Eric & Suzy's Old-Time Tiki Parlour DVD:
"I recently had a painter tell me that she wanted so badly to be able to "jam" with other painters and I thought to myself that musicians must be the most fortunate people. In this world where human interaction is being abandoned for virtual reality the musician's ability to instantly interact with even complete strangers so honestly and openly is truly a blessing and very often these musical introductions lead to life-long friendships, producing some of the best music in the world.
You can see this, or should I say hear this, with Eric and Suzy. Sparks fly when these two sit down to make music and I feel utterly privileged to have sat between them in som any good jams. But I didn't meet them in a jam. In fact, I can't even remember a time in my life when they weren't already a fixture in my world and I know there are thousands of musicians out there that feel the same way about them even if they don't know them personally. Individually and collectively these two have carved their names int he walls of time as some of America's most generous and versatile musical artists.
The magic that happens when these two wonderful souls collide in music is the stuff that makes the world a better place and what a treat it is to feel like we're right there in David Bragger's Tiki Parlour with them. The room is cozy and sounds great...I can picture it now:
A flash of red hair and her fiddle sings,
furrowed brow and eyes smile
as his fingers play on guitar strings.
I'm right there with them,
and nothing else in the world matters."
